BEYOND TAHRIR

Discovering Cairo After the Revolution

10 - 17 January 2015

Beyond Tahrir gave participants the opportunity to explore and learn about Cairo over and above the headlines of the 25 January Revolution. This fascinating journey traversed the many complexities and contradictions of this ancient city and introduced visitors to the communities, initiatives and leaders who are re-shaping the 'Mother of the World' and even Egypt itself.

Experiences included a forum with independent media body Egyptian Streets, an industrial ecology tour through the Manshiyat Nasser community, a roundtable discussion and downtown walking tour with urban design laboratory CLUSTER and a faith dialogue in Coptic Cairo with Jewish Community of Cairo President Magda Haroun.
